As Operations Manager, Rachel works across almost every stage of your AluFold order, jumping from quotes and stock decisions to production, dispatch and aftersales as part of her average day.
Rachel has 20 years’ experience in the fenestration industry and joined AluFold in 2021. Here’s a little more about what she gets up to in and outside of work.
What got you into glazing?
I was looking for an office-based role and started as a receptionist within the glazing industry which developed into trade estimating. From there, I began getting involved in different areas of the business, and my role has continued to develop over time.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The variety. I enjoy working across different departments and knowing what’s happening throughout the business. If there’s an opportunity to support a project, share an idea or help solve a problem, I’m always keen to get involved and work alongside my colleagues.
Tell us something people might not know about the AluFold team.
When we moved into Whitebirk Industrial Estate, it was a real team effort. Everyone got involved – from dismantling tables and emptying the factory to fitting out the new one, painting and decorating. We all worked together with one shared goal, and that’s really what every day feels like.
What keeps you busy outside work?
Football rules my life, to be honest! My son is 10 and very much into his football, so our weekends usually involve training and matches. Outside of football, we enjoy spending time together as a family and getting involved in different activities, so there’s always something going on!
