AluFold Windows has expanded its Blackburn manufacturing operation with the introduction of a dedicated uPVC production facility. The addition allows installers to source both aluminium and uPVC products through a single supply partner, helping simplify procurement across a wider range of projects.
Many installers continue to work across both aluminium and uPVC projects. By bringing the two product categories together under one roof, AluFold aims to reduce the complexity that can come with managing multiple suppliers.
Backed by Leicester-based Unique Window Systems and its close partnership with Eurocell, AluFold’s introduction of uPVC extends the same structured, supply-only approach already in place for aluminium.
A complete uPVC production facility has been built within AluFold Windows’ 70,000 sq ft factory at Whitebirk Industrial Estate in Blackburn, featuring advanced machinery including a BDM cutting and machining centre capable of processing up to 800 windows per week.
The new line is further supported by multiple quad welders, CNC corner cleaners and CNC beading equipment to ensure consistent quality throughout production, with AluFold’s expert operating team now fully trained to work across both uPVC and aluminium.
“Aluminium will always be at the core of AluFold Windows,” says Managing Director, Neal Addison. “This isn’t about changing what we do. It is about recognising how our customers are working day-to-day and making sure we’re set up to support that properly.”
The integration of uPVC has been led by Production Manager Karl Williams, who joined the business earlier this year and brings more than 20 years’ experience across production, operations and quality control.
Operating from its Blackburn manufacturing facility, AluFold Windows continues to focus on supply-only fabrication, supporting installers with aluminium and uPVC solutions backed by technical expertise, production capability and reliable service.
